Cilgwyn
is a nine-hole course widely recognised as one of the best of
its kind in Wales.
The Club was formed in 1905 and is celebrating its Centenary this
year with an ambitious and exciting programme of events for members
and visitors.
In
its early years the Club played golf
on a rented course at Peterwell,
in Lampeter, then moved to its present site at Cilgwyn in 1974.
The picturesque, parkland course sits in a secluded valley with
a gently undulating layout amidst trees, ponds and streams.
The course offers an exceptional, enjoyable test of golf and playing
to one’s handicap is a reason for celebration.
To
help players prepare for a round there is a large, well-maintained
practice area with distance markers and a practice net as well
as a 9-hole well-manicured putting green.
Lessons
for members and beginners are available from our visiting P.G.A.
