Directions
CILGWYN is situated in the village of LLANGYBI just 5 miles
from the university town of LAMPETER and 6 miles from the ancient
market town of TREGARON.
Cilgwyn is the only golf club in Mid and West Wales boasting its
own on-site Caravan Club Certificated Location and is situated in
a beautiful, secluded valley where a pair of rare red kites often
hover peacefully above the golfers below; a truly rewarding experience
for the fortunate visitor.
To reach Cilgwyn
from either town follow the main A485 to Llangybi and look out for
the church and the nearby signposts.
The course is situated just half a mile from the main road with
large “Clwb Gollf / Golf Club” signposts pointing the
way from the A485.
The short lane to the course is narrow in places but presents no
problems, even towing a caravan, as there are many passing places
in the short half mile.
Entry to the course is over a wide cattle grid and there is extensive
parking adjacent to the Clubhouse.
If arriving with a caravan, park in the main car park and contact
the Club Steward or the Head Groundsman for guidance on the best
caravan spots.
The main routes into Lampeter are the A482 linking with the A40
from Brecon in the east, the A485 linking with the M4/A48 dual carriageway
from the south, the A475 from Cardigan in the west and the A482
and A485 from Aberystwyth in the north.
Each route offers the visitor, driving along an uncrowded road,
an opportunity to enjoy some of the beautiful scenery for which
Wales is famous.
